Click Next to continue to Community stage.
Community
At the Community stage you will select the desired community or communities. Click Select Communities to open a dropdown menu. Select the Target Communities from this list by checking the appropriate box(s) and then clicking off the dropdown menu or the up arrow to return to the Community stage.
Your Target Communities will now be listed. Click Next to continue to the Audience stage.
Audience
At the Audience stage you will decide who receives the alert. Click Target Audiences to open a dropdown menu. Select the desired audience from this list by checking the appropriate box(s) and then clicking off the dropdown menu to return to the Audience stage.
Your Target Audience will now be listed. Click Next to continue.
Visibility
At the Visibility stage you will select if you would like the Alert to be displayed on the Mobile App. This option will be enabled by default. If you do not wish this alert to be viewable on the mobile app, click the slider icon to unselect.
Click Next to continue.
Notifications
At the notification stage you will select how your alert is delivered to your residents:
SMS
SMS sends a text message to all the selected user's cell phones. As long as the user has a cell phone number associated with their account, they will receive the alert.
PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional cost to the community for
each SMS message sent.
An Email alert will send out the alert to the user's email address.
Push Notifications
Push notifications are similar to SMS alerts in that they are delivered to the user's cell phones but rather than a text message they are delivered through the mobile app. The user must have the mobile app installed to receive a push notification.
Click Next. You may need to scroll down to see the Next button.
Expiration
Click the Expiration Box to set the alert expiration date. The alert will be active until this date, or until you remove it.
Once you are satisfied with the alert information, Click Send Alert.
Confirm
You will be prompted to confirm your selections. Click Submit to send the alert.
Your Alert will be sent to the selected audience, and you will be returned to the Alerts page. You will see an Alert added notice at the bottom of the screen and your new alert will now be listed under Active Alerts.
